Anomali SyncApp Version End of Support The last date support is available for a particular Product version. This is the last date Anomali will respond to any support issues with the Product version. After this date, support services for the product will cease, and the product is deemed to be obsolete. Anomali will no longer provide support or maintenance for the product, and in order to retain support, the customer is obliged upgrade to a supported release.

Released:

Anomali SyncApp 5.6 is the latest release for the Anomali SyncApp product line.

This release includes the following features and enhancements:

  • Database upgrade.

  • OpenSSL v3.x support for Ubuntu v22.x.

  • Fix for the following issue:

    OP-39594: Threat Bulletins with PDF descriptions created in ThreatStream OnPrem are not

    correctly rendered after syncing with ThreatStream AirGap.

This release includes the following features and enhancements:

  • Appliance health check: Added the health check script allowing you to check if your SyncApp appliance is functional and meets minimum system requirements.

  • System requirements: Updated system requirements.

Anomali SyncApp 5.3 is the next release for the Anomali SyncApp product line.

This release includes the following features and enhancements:

  • Backfill Monitor: If you need to backfill large amounts of intelligence, you can check the progress using the backfill monitor. It will help you track when different types of the intelligence are downloaded and when the whole backfill is complete. This feature is available for SyncApps in the "Source" mode only.

  • Workflow change in dual SyncApp configuration: Location of downloaded observable snapshots in a source SyncApp has changed since v5.2.

5.2.x

Released:

Anomali SyncApp5.2 is the next release for the Anomali SyncApp product line.

This release includes the following features and enhancements:

  • Configuring Anomali SyncApp Using a Configuration File: Anomali SyncApp can now be configured using a configuration file. Configuration files can be used across multiple Anomali SyncApp deployments, thus enabling quick and easy configuration for use cases involving more than one Anomali SyncApp.

  • OpenSSL Prerequisite: OpenSSL 1.1.1 has been added as a prerequisite to Anomali SyncApp installation.

  • Support of Custom Objects: Now Anomali SyncApp synchronizes another type of Threat Model entity - Custom Objects.

  • Synchronizing MITRE Attack Patterns: Set up synchronization of MITRE Attack Patterns. MITRE versions 7.2 to 11 are supported.

5.1.x

Released:

Anomali SyncApp 5.1 is the next release for the Anomali SyncApp product line. The following features and enhancements have been added:

  • Trusted Circle Synchronization: Use Anomali SyncApp to synchronize trusted circle or feed data from Cloud to trusted circles on ThreatStream AirGap.

  • Threat Model Filtering: Threat Model filtering during Anomali SyncApp configuration has been enhanced to give you more control over the Threat Model entities synchronized by Anomali SyncApp.

  • Threat Model: Synchronize Attack Patterns, Courses of Action, Identities, Infrastructure, Intrusion Sets, and Tools using Anomali SyncApp. Anomali SyncApp also now supports additional fields specific to MITRE ATT&CK TTPs.

  • Associations: A new prompt during Anomali SyncApp configuration enables you to set a maximum number of associations that Anomali SyncApp will synchronize for each observable or Threat Model entity.

  • Failed Associations Performance Enhancement: A performance enhancement with regard to Anomali SyncApp's association handling saves CPU resources, network resources, memory, and disk space.
